Annual Section Awards
The Amazonia Section seeks to promote the creation and dissemination of knowledge about Amazonia by recognizing the trajectory of academics, actors, and social movement that give greater visibility to the Amazon region. To achieve these aims, we create and promote juried awards in various categories. Currently, we offer two annual awards highlighting new research in Amazonian Studies. Awards are announced each year at the annual LASA Congress.
